Locally-produced accessories contributes to reduce lead time

Recently, BGMEA President Faruque Hassan meets with a delegation of Avery Dennison at BGMEA Complex and discussed about the plans and prospects of expanding business operations to reduce lead time through supplying locally-produced accessories.

They also discussed about the present situation of Bangladesh’s RMG industry, its prospects along with future priorities to enhance the competitive edge of the industry.

Reducing and accurately forecasting lead times is a critical element of any manufacturing operation. For this local accessories can be a source to manage the supply chain and help reduce the lead time.

The Avery Dennison team included Mohammad Sazzad Hossain, General Manager, Bangladesh; Md. Aminul Islam, Director Human Resources Bangladesh; Rahul Malhotra, Finance Director, Bangladesh; Akhita Bandra, Sales Director, RBIS Bangladesh; Md. Siaf Ullah, Senior Manager, Customer Services; and Farzana Sharmin, Head of GPD and Regional Pricing.

BGMEA Vice President Shahid Azim, Chair of BGMEA Standing Committee on Press, Publication and Publicity Shovon Islam and Chair of BGMEA Standing Committee on Trade Fair Mohammad Kamal Uddin were also present at the meeting.
