Kilim Denim has developed a special finishing technique, Kilim Color, which creates the effect of an overdye or coating, without adding the additional step in the dyeing process and thus keeping costs down.

Also, it is available in an array of casts and gives the fabric a hand feel similar to a coating. Isil Sena Candan said, “The denim item appears to be overdyed, but it is not, it is our proprietary technology that is truly unique, and it is a relatively simple solution that provides novelty and authenticity.”
On the other hand, the Turkey-based company presented a new jade green colour in its palette, which is made from the actual stone.
Another new product on show at Kilim’s booth at Bluezone was a stretch denim fabric made from Eastman’s Naia yarn (12%).
Regarding this, Candan said, “We had previously integrated this fiber in a rigid denim, this is the first stretch reference with Naia.”
Besides that, the wood-based acetate yarn gives the fabric a special sheen and a soft hand feel.
