PETA partners with H&M for new fashion collection ‘Co-Exist Story’

One of the largest global retailers H&M has partnered with PETA to create and launch a vegan fashion collection called ‘Co-Exist Story.’ This new, sustainable collection of fashion-forward womenswear, menswear, and kidswear is made with innovative, animal-free materials.

Every piece in Co-Exist Story is “PETA-Approved Vegan,” so consumers can be sure that these products are totally kind to animals, which means not using them for their skin, fur, hair, or anything else. The collection is a celebration of the harmonious coexistence of humans and other animals on this planet.

The ‘Co-Exist Story’ collection includes womenswear, menswear and kidswear, and depicts animal-derived fabrics and processes alternatives, including Flwrdwn, a substitute to animal down made using wildflowers, and Vegea, a plant-based alternative for oil-based and animal-derived leathers.

Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M, said in a statement, “The ‘Co-Exist Story’ collection epitomizes our ongoing commitment at H&M to exploring innovative alternatives to animal-derived fabrics while still offering our customers cutting-edge fashion. H&M and PETA have enjoyed a positive dialogue throughout the project, and we are proud to support the valuable work that PETA is doing every day.”

Malin Dubois, Senior Designer at H&M, said, “We designed this collection for modern urbanites, those who love the social hubs of city life but equally crave weekends spent wearing their waterproof rubber boots immersed in nature.

The collection launches on November 4 in the U.S. It will be available at select stores in Antwerp, Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, New York, Paris, Seoul, Shanghai, Stockholm, and Tokyo. Local launches may vary. You can also shop online at HM.com.
