Strategic partnership between Global Fashion Group and Global Fashion Agenda

The e-commerce company Global Fashion Group (GFG) will join the Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) as the first partner to operate across Latin America, CIS, Southeast Asia, and Australia.

Their joining will support the company’s mission to strengthen the fashion industry in shaping a sustainable future.

At the same time, the agreement recognizes GFG’s sustainability efforts to grow eco-friendly e-commerce.

In addition to the extensive list of other strategic partners already involved in the fashion group, GFA supports the thought leadership platform and fashion CEO agenda.

The agenda encourages brands to adopt round design strategies in production as well as enter used clothing, resale pieces, and reusable textiles into the supply chain.

The partnership is consistent with GFG’s People and Planet Positive Agenda, highlighting the company’s commitment, focusing on implementing sustainable practices throughout its core.

The e-commerce platform is also overseen by Dafiti, Lamoda, Zalora, and The Iconic, a strategic partnership with GFA, which is part of a growing list.

Others include Bestseller, Asos, PVH Corporation, Kering, and Ralph Lauren Corporation.

Launched in 2009, the nonprofit aims to mobilize the industry through events such as the sustainable Fashion Priority, the Copenhagen Fashion Summit, and the Innovation Forum.

Frederica Marchionni, CEO of the organization said, “Global Fashion Agenda strives to bring together partners that represent industry perspectives from across the world and from various parts of the supply chain,”

Besides that, Global Fashion Group has demonstrated strong commitments to sustainability and, through their partnership, they are pleased to expand their representation in growth markets so that they can work together to create impact at an even greater scale.

Also, strategic partners are encouraged to find innovative and collaborative business opportunities, designed to create future-proof models.

The organization works as a thought leader, offering participants industry events and reports to further their progress and understanding.

Furthermore, GFA pushes industry-wide pledges and policies in its process of supporting these companies, to further aid them in achieving their sustainability targets and establish circular systems.
