Turkish manufacturing capacity rises to 77.3%

According to the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), the capacity utilization rate of Turkey’s manufacturing sector increased to 77.3 percent in March, 76.6 percent from February.

It said that the monthly data does not reflect the bank’s views or predictions, adding that 1,761 companies responded to the survey in March.

On the other hand, the capacity utilization rate (CUR) figures are based on the responses given to a business tendency.

That survey by local units operating in the manufacturing industry, according to the bank.

As per Turkish media outlets, among the main industrial groups, the highest CUR was 78.7 for intermediate goods, while the lowest was 75 percent for durable consumer goods.
