Youngone keen to collaborate on capacity building in Bangladesh

A delegation of BGMEA headed by President Faruque Hassan visited the head office of Youngone Corporation in Seoul, South Korea on October 28.

The delegation was welcomed by the high officials of Youngone who apprised the BGMEA leadership about their supply chain and business model, especially sustainability vision, and innovation.

BGMEA President Faruque Hassan stressed on the importance of collaborative growth and exploring the areas of excellence, especially a shift to non-cotton textiles and garment, product development and innovative capacity building.

BGMEA Vice President Shahidullah Azim, Director Asif Ashraf, Managing Director of DBL Group M. A. Jabbar; Managing Director of Hams Group Engr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman; Shaikh Shahinur Rahman, Managing Director, Youngone Corporation; Ashaab Adeeb Hassan, Director of Giant Group; Nuzhat Anwar, Senior Country Officer, IFC Dhaka, and Nishat Chowdhury, Program Manager of IFC’s “Partnership for Cleaner Textile: PaCT” accompanied the President during the visit.

On the other side, Youngone Chairman Kihak Sung expressed his interest to work for expanding business in Bangladesh and collaborate with BGMEA.

Faruque Hassan invited Kihak Sung to the “Made in Bangladesh Week” which will be organized by BGMEA on 12-18 November 2022 in Dhaka to promote Bangladesh and the RMG industry internationally.
